Montel is very pleased to supply the "Harold B. Lee Library" at Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City (Utah) with a large electronic high density storage system.
The project called for a proposal for the supply and installation of 98 miles of seismic cantilever and electronic mobile shelving including sophisticated safety features due to public access, seismic considerations and ADA safety standards for physically challenged people. Montel was awarded the contract because of the high quality of the products offering and its safety features. Also, quality of proposal, justification of the design choice and qualified local maintenance support, were major elements in helping Brigham Young in their final decision. The integrated battery back-up and the ‘ratchet' features allowing continuous access were also important elements in case of power failure. As per Randy Olsen, Deputy University Librarian: "The project was completed on schedule and within budget. What more could you ask from your shelving manufacturer." |
