since 1981. Today we provide a variety of conversion services including
document scanning and indexing, microfilming and microfilm scanning.
We are committed to producing quality image output in the appropriate
format for our customers’ needs.
Document Scanning
Mid-America utilizes top-of-the-line production scanners to scan
all types of documents to a variety of image formats including TIFF,
PDF and JPEG. Using advanced image clean-up, image quality is enhanced
without sacrificing production. We can provide black and white,
grayscale or color images as well as standard image output or full
text conversion.
Data Entry
Mid-America provides data entry indexing as part of the scanning
conversion service and utilizes advanced recognition technology
to capture data for a streamlined conversion process. We can read
barcodes, patch codes and utilize OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
and ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) for cost effective indexing.
Image Delivery
Images can be delivered via CD, DVD, portable hard drive or direct
download. We are able to deliver self-contained CDs that include
the images, index data and software for database access and viewing
of images on any PC that has a CD-ROM drive. We can also host images
for you through our ASP Service eliminating the need to upload images
to your own server. Documents can be accessed through a secure Internet
website and customized to your records management needs.
Microfilming and Jacket Loading
If you need to archive records to microfilm or microfiche, Mid-America
can convert your documents to your desired film format, whether
its 16mm microfilm or jackets. Microfilm is an archival format lasting
in excess of 200 years and is still heavily utilized in libraries,
government, utilities and commercial business today.
